COEXCELL has invested further into 2020 blow molding technology to produce superior 55 gallon drums for packaging operations that have key performance indicators to achieve the lowest level of metal extractables for the electronic wet chemical industry.
The K55 drums have been UNDOT certified to be rated as 1H1/Y1.9/150 for the transport of Group II and Group III chemistries. Coexcell has also already UNDOT certified one popular dip tube for this K55 drum.
The K55 drums are also a tri-layer drum in the same format as our workhorse IC55 drums. Three layers isolates the outer layer of color and UV stabilizers far away from in the inner wetted layer that touches the chemistries.
Coexcell is also blow molding this drum with the three same great High Purity resins as our workhorse IC drums. The inner layer of the K55 drums can be blow-molded with our High Purity Standard, High Purity Plus and Ultra-Pure Premium resin.
The 2020 blow molding technology has two new advantages. First, an even smoother wetted surface which means even less chemistry contact with the drum wall. Second, more even layer distribution to protect the chemistries.
